The massive ship being constructed in the Lilycove based warehouse absolutely dwarfed the tiny Shinx that Remiel had sent to aid in its construction effort. Cosette, however, wasn't intimidated by such a thing as size. She took to the challenge with vigor, in fact! Even if her coworkers dwarfed her in size as well, she would show them a thing or two about electrifying a room![break][break]

Rather than let any of the human electricians guide her to a workstation, the small Shinx instead sauntered past them and found one for her own. Satisfied with one positioned just at the bow of the large vessel, the little cat cast a toothy smirk before planting her feet firmly onto the ground. The lightning rod in front of her beckoned to be shocked... she could feel it! So, despite the human welders and engineers that scrambled to get everything ready after seeing her CHARGE up, Cosette wasted no more time than she needed.[break][break]

The crackling blue flashes of a WILD CHARGE filled the warehouse as the Shinx ran circles around the rod, feeding it greatly as her momentum increased. Pretty soon, she would render herself dizzy. But she would repeat this time and time again until the job was done![break][break]

the magnezone may be seen as the complete opposite of the excitable shinx. pretzel hovers high above the ground, where it's comfortable, and only reduces its chosen altitude when the electricians in charge are done giving their instructions to the team. this may be the magnezone's first time helping out at a project like this, but it's lived all its life manipulating magnetic fields. the task at hand would be no problem for it.

given its size, the magnezone should have been given its own station, but the reality of the matter is that most of the pokémon sent in to help out at the dock are of comparable size. therefore, it's made to share the area with another electric-type. pretzel would have preferred more privacy, but doesn't protest. thankfully, it's still spacious enough for the two not to interfere with each other.

, charged to affect the area directly around it and not its partner. it wouldn't do to disturb them, after all. next, the horseshoe magnets on its sides begin to glow a golden hue that indicates its ability is being activated to

Rift was a pretty toxic pokemon by nature, a resistor of group projects, so he got put into one of those lightning rod rooms because of it. That, and because he would sometimes spontaneously burst into a power chord, which typically made for poor craftsmanship. Most people shuddered, ruining whatever they'd been working on, distracting them from their duties. But it had been pretty awesome.

So now Rift was in Overdrive, trying to make up for lost time, welding the metal parts together in assembly of something greater, although it was unsure as to the overall design. Whatever it was, the humans seemed pretty eager about their efforts, monitoring them very closely.

Or perhaps that was just Rift's experience after being caught horsing around while on the clock.

^{Personal headcanon that whatever they're welding together is going to be used in the upcoming event.

Disco was quite excited to partake in a job for pokemon. He had been watching his teammates go off to jobs for months now and had always envied them. Now it was his turn, and his boundless energy was an immediate help for the construction workers. The work was grueling and repetitive, but that did nothing to dampen the electric bug's spirits.

He worked alongside another pokemon, a magnezone who seemed much more collected compared to the twitching vikavolt. Disco's job was simple, the magnezone would put the parts onto the support structure and Disco would weld them into place using concentrated blasts of Thunderbolt. With every completed section, Disco would do a twitchy dance of victory as he waited for the next area to be put into place.

There was a lot of ground to cover, but Disco seemed unbothered about the amount of work ahead of him. He continued his job with nary a complaint or concern, just happy to be able to take part.

Zippy couldn't believe they were sent here. Well they understood why they were sent there as a way to get some funds in replacing equipment the doc had damaged but why them!? Oh well they've already been sent and the Rotom was very familiar with this type of job having often taking control of parts back with his trainer and his builds. Question was where was the best place to help for this project. [break][break]

Floating about it didn't take long to spot a few machines that humans were temperately using to do the jobs themselves. Problem with those was that they couldn't be precise as a pokemon with how large it was. Too much room for human error. Though not a problem from this electric ghost as it decided to take a deep dive into the machine using a DISCHARGE to give it power as the machine came to life. There now they had something better to weld with, and melding with the machine felt like it took less energy as melding with one had become second nature while working with the doctor. So for now it would use the mechanical arm to weld what was given to them together.

So today, Thor was called out to help with some… welding jobs.

Looking over at what the other Electric-types were doing, he surmised this would be easy, right? Just follow the lead of what the temporary humans who wanted to hire his services for the day get done, right?

Right?

Oh, how terribly wrong they were.

For starters, even if his ability was Motor Drive and not Lightning Rod, the way that he constantly exuded electricity, especially in an environment like this, was practically a hazard. He was behaving like a conduit, which the other Electric-types quickly exploited to their advantage.

So instead of helping the humans, he ended up giving his energy to all the other Electric-types who would swing by whenever they were running low on electrical energy to keep themselves moving.

Not that Thor minded this, though.

It was nice to actually be doing something meaningful for once.

the rotom flits around its work stations, clearly restless for some reason or another. though entirely different to what it's used to, the job seems simply enough; the sooner they got this done, the sooner it could go back. the rotom feels strangely vulnerable outside the protective shell of a device.

Nadine is incredibly happy to be out and about for once, although they weren't much for work. Still, with the offer of pancakes being rewards by their trainer for a job well done afterward, how could she possibly refuse? Floating about, Nadine would practically be floating across the entire room, the electric currents in the air alone practically enough to surf on alone. Regardless, she'd use her incredible agility to deliver a few tools and safety equipment across the room to various workers. Of course, her Charm was infallible, quickly becoming a bit of a crowd favorite.

Regardless, eventually, it came time for her to put her electric abilities to use as well. With the two large ship parts in place, Nadine's cheeks began to spark with electricity. With a loud cry, her entire body would be charged up as a Thunder Shock flew directly at the metal beams, moving down slowly in as precise a manner as she could before the weld was eventually finished. Satisfied for a moment, Nadine let out a relaxed sigh and flopped back onto her tail, lazily surfing back across the room. Time for a break, and maybe a few snacks.
